They have been hard to find in recent weeks, so looking for a quality distance race to get us back on track. Three clear market leaders in this race, but looking to the data to provide an edge and narrow it down to one. Through Irish Eyes looks very strong here, with Jamie Kah back in the saddle. She rates the top rider in this race, for the top rated stable, and the data suggests he can set a superior pace late in the race. Horrifying out front and Mimi’s Award coming from further back also have very strong numbers, with very good heavy track records. Some very interesting numbers for a lesser ranked runner in Saint Eustace, which has performed at the distance on the going. Looks fresh with weight and senior rider in his favor. It’s hard to see the top three being toppled, but Saint Eustace could ruffle some feathers late. Sticking with Through Irish Eyes

Top 4

  • Through Irish Eyes
  • Mimi’s Award
  • Horrifying
  • Saint Eustace

Good Luck

Flemington race 4 Speed Map 16th of July, 2022 Statfreaks

1 Southern France Might try to take up the running early, and make it a staying race. Off his last start, hard to see him featuring beyond that.
2 Sweet Thomas War horse that must be sent down for a reason. Hope it’s not just to accompany the others. Hard to see him figuring, but he does close of races well and always puts in a shift. Should run well.
3 Through Irish Eyes Top stable, top rider and looks to grind out a decent time with no considerable acceleration. Looks to get an easy mid field sit from the draw, and surely makes a run at the turn. Expect him to set a superior pace late in the race and be too hard to run down.
4 Pappalino Might try to get up front early from the draw. The data suggests he will find it hard as they turn for home.
5 Mimi’s Award Stiff as a board last start, and very strong KPIs to feature just as strongly this start. Top turn of foot, coming from a prominent position and on a going that she now seems to be suited to. Expecting her to be there at the line.
6 Horrifying The obvious leader, but might have a few others to contend with in Pappalino and Southern France. Can’t expect him to have it all his way up front. Very strong turn of foot, Williams rates well, and we know how much he loves Flemington. Another one to surely be on the podium. Only a slight query on this far into his prep at this grade.
7 Saint Eustace Some interesting KPIs for this guy, and a few starts back he ran very well on wet ground. Gains a senior rider along with the weight drop, and can improve from his last start here.
9 Blandford Lad Not the worst runner in the race, but questions on how far he gets back at this grade. Would be a super effort to feature late.
