Smaller field for this year’s Eureka Stockade. Good enough field quality, and hoping that the track can firm up a bit to bring a bit more certainty into the data. Focusing on three runners in this race in Decent Raine, Daily Bugle and Wangoom. Wangoom looks the obvious leader but might burn it from the draw. Yendall is a huge 28.4% win and 52.3% place strike rate when leading at this trip on the Jockey Analysis Tool (JAT), and that has to be respected. Decent Raine has raced with no luck at all in far higher class races than this, and she gets a smaller field here to surely find more running room. She might simply be too good and win in a hold if she can round the field. The other interesting runner is Daily Bugle, who is also down in class and great closing speed. Can’t see him out of the finish and he looks to be a really hard worker. Sticking with Decent Raine to be the class of the race if the track gives them all a chance, and Wangoom the value if the rails are hot.

Good Luck

RUNNER COMMENTRY

NO NAME COMMENT
1 Sunfall Not sure if this is a target for him, and he maps to be stretched early. Can make up some ground and finish well, but might be a bit much early.
2 Daily Bugle Ran strongly last on the stage last start, and has a strong turn on foot in this field. He will be coming from the rear with some others, and can’t see him off the podium.
3 Jimmy The Bear Top jockey and trainer in the race, and should be right up there early. If there is no pace on early, he is right in it at a nice price. Value.
4 Star Midfielder Should get out OK and land in a good spot from the draw. If he can transit well Allen will give him very chance. Might just need some sort of pace early.
5 Mattash Looks a tough race for him, and looks to fall away after landing midfield.
6 Wangoom Looks the leader, and Yendall is a whoping 28.4% win and 52.3% place strike rate when leading at this trip on the Jockey Analysis Tool (JAT). With a decent turn of foot, he is a huge chance off only a few starts.
7 Decent Raine Had big raps on this filly last start, and she just didn’t get a chance. Seems to be her pattern, and with that you will need luck. Weaker field, and McNeil is 32.9% to place when coming from the rear at this trip on the Jockey Analysis Tool (JAT). All she needs to avoid the box in, and she will be flying home hard.
8 Swear By Her Great win last start, but a bit of a jump in class here. Not sure she will get any pace favours in this race, but still expect her to run well off her last win. Top rated stable in this race.
