Quality distance race to start the day at Caulfield, and an unusual field of a few leaders might give a strong chance to less favoured runners in the midfield. A hot pace predicted with four possible runners looking to take the lead in Mahamedeis, Cakewalk Baby, Maserartie Bay and So Able. Really looking for the runners that will stay out of the early fight in Royal Crown and Reflect the Stars. Utilizing our Jockey Analysis Tool (JAT), Allen is a whopping 32.2% win strike rate on leaders, and rides Maserartie Bay who is expected to lead, whilst Williams jockey settling profile lines up at 18.4% to win on Reflect the Stars. Can’t ignore Royal Crown who rates well and obviously came through a softer run last week well. Predicting that if Maseratie Bay can settle in a good spot he will be hard to beat. The strongest finishers look to be Reflect the Stars and Royal Crown. Sticking with Royal Crown on the back up, to be suited by a decent pace up front and a decent record at Caulfield.

Good Luck

1 Mahamedeis Expecting him to fly out and try to lead and does love Caulfield. Just not sure if leading over this trip will be an advantage. But he has done it before.
2 Royal Crown Big wraps on this guy last start when the race didn’t suit. Interesting move to back him up, but looks well placed in this race where he will have to do no work early. Good soft track form. If they work hard up front, expect to see him flying home hard.
3 Maserartie Bay Class runner here, but might have to fight to lead from out wide. Strong numbers on the JAT for Allen to win when leading at a whopping 32.2%. Can’t see him being out of the finish, just think there is a risk from the wider draw that he will have to burn it early. Might get caught out late.
4 So Able Another one of the possible leaders, and could knock over a few of the strong leaders and make it an interesting race. Not expecting to see him in the finishing frame.
6 Auf Weidersehen Bit of a step up in grade here, but can pump a good time on a soft track. Data suggests it might get a little tough later in the race when the swoopers come.
7 Reflect The Stars A strong strike rate for Williams on the JAT in 18.4% to win and 31.6% to place at this trip. Like the KPIs for this runner when coming from the middle of the field and should be fit from her last two runs. Should be in the finish.
8 Cakewalk Baby Another runner that will look to fly the gate and lead from out wide. With speed inside her, hard to know where she will land in the running. Has the times to trouble this race and an even pace. Likes the heavier track and expect to see her finishing the race out well.
