Top quality race for the 5th event at Sandown, with a few runners that put in very strong last start performances. No real pace in the race, and with a smaller field there really are no excuses. Four runners stick out data wise here in Cherry Tortoni, Ziegfield, Elephant and Harbour Views. Ziegfield looks the obvious leader and can run a time to match these horses. Oliver riding well at the moment, and no reason he can’t give a shout at odds. Cherry Tortoni is an honest runner with a great second up record. Really think he gets a soft transit and has a lightening closing speed to chase down any of these. Harbor Views and Elephant off their last starts are obviously great chances, but data wise it might just be Cherry Tortoni chasing down Ziegfield. Sticking with Cherry Tortoni.

| 5 | Ziegfeld | Should lead and looks to be no real speed in the race. This is his trip, and Oliver can control the race at the front and give it a real shout. Value. |
| 6 | Cherry Tortoni | Should have won first up and a great second up record. Drawn well, has a great turn of foot and will have every chance today. |
| 7 | Worsfold | Surprised last start at odds, and looks like he will finish the race well again. Just not sure he has the required late speed to feature in the finish. |
